The Mitchell Institute welcomes 2021 Mitchell Scholars The Institute held a virtual Welcome Celebration in place of an in-person Welcome Brunch on Saturday, August 7th. 76 Scholars and over 100 attendees overall attended–including stakeholders from various colleges, Mitchell Institute Board and Senator’s Circle members, and parents/guardians of Scholars.
2020 Scholar Jean-Daniel Liwanga spoke to Scholars about his experience with Institute resources and college in the time of COVID, and guests also heard from Senator Mitchell, who shared his well wishes with them, while encouraging them to give back to the communities that have contributed to their success.
