With the requirements for a bachelor’s in Economics and Religion nearly done, Bowdoin College senior Hunter Steele, the 2019 Scholar from Lewiston High School, says he was first drawn to apply for the Mitchell Scholarship by the potential of receiving $10,000 for college. Four years on, his appreciation for the Mitchell Institute’s wrap-around supports matches his gratitude for the money. “The resources and the help (the Institute) has provided me have made me such a better person and a better scholar, and just more equipped to take on the real world,” he said.
