Mitchell Institute announces new President and CEO - The Mitchell Institute

We are happy to announce our new President and CEO, Jared Cash. Jared will be joining the Mitchell Institute team in January 2022, having dedicated his career to furthering educational outcomes for college students in Maine. Please join us in giving Jared a warm welcome to our team!

Jared shared: “Senator Mitchell’s vision to lift aspirations of Maine students and communities resonates with me as a first generation college student and someone who has devoted his career to education and student success. It is really an incredible honor to lead this strong organization into the future.”

Jared currently serves as Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing at the University of Southern Maine. Prior to his work there, he served as Vice President for Enrollment and External Relations at the University of Maine at Farmington, in the Admission Department at Bates College, and as Scholarship Director here at the Mitchell Institute.

He received his undergraduate degree from Bates College and a Master’s in Education from Northeastern University. He is excited to continue the Institute’s legacy of transforming Maine communities through investing in Mitchell Scholars.
