Workplace Giving
Does your workplace offer matching funds to personal donations, or participate in a United Way giving campaign? These options can be great ways to make your gift go further, and to make a connection between the Mitchell Institute and your workplace.
The Pioneer Scholar Program
The Pioneer Scholar Program recognizes specific Mitchell Scholars and Alumni each year in honor of generous supporters who have made significant donations of $250,000 or more to the Mitchell Institute endowment. Pioneer Scholars stand out for acknowledgement through their contributions to school and community and their demonstration of certain qualities as students and as citizens.
THE TRUC HUYNH ALUMNI GIVING SOCIETY: PAYING IT FORWARD TO CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS OF SCHOLARS
Mitchell Scholar Alumni who have made financial contributions to the Mitchell Institute over the years equal to the amount of the Scholarship they received are welcomed into the Truc Huynh Alumni Giving Society. The Society is named in honor of the late Truc Huynh, the 2001 Mitchell Scholar from Portland High School and a 2005 graduate of Bowdoin College, who was a founding member. Each member of the Truc Huynh Alumni Giving Society exemplifies Senator Mitchell’s vision for the Mitchell Scholars — that they give back to their communities throughout their lifetimes.
